She spent her early life in Venezuela. In 1999 she returned to Paris. There, she studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (Bachelor of Sculpture and Drawing, 2006; Master of Fine Arts, 2009). In 2008 she attended the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Basque Country as part of the Erasmus student exchange. She has carried out artistic residencies at the Albert Gleizes Foundation (Les Sablons, 2012) and at the Fundación El Semillero (Maracaibo, 2011). She has participated in group exhibitions in Caracas, Maracaibo, Valencia, Mérida (Venezuela), Buenos Aires, Paris, and London. Among her various individual exhibitions, the one held at the Ateneo de Caracas in 2013 stands out. She currently lives in Bagneux, France.
Daniela Quilici’s creative exercise flows from a sensitivity subtly guided by intuition. Her language has been forged by listening to the silent voices of nature and by carefully following the resonances they produce within her subjectivity. In her work, form is inseparable from matter. It is from the sensitive investigation of what the material is and says that form emerges in harmony with emotions and delicate perceptions. The qualities of water, studied by Bachelard, are present in this spontaneous and vital work. It has a dreamlike quality. The sea or the foam are, in these instances, indefinable. The diluted blue stains, the impastos, and the crayon stroke evoke the unrepeatable moments of natural poetry in which the rhythm of a breath matches with the rhythm of a licking wave. Quilici also works with clay in her need to give body to these reveries that depart from and return to nature―creating new marine plants, animals, and shells, providing an image of the seabed. The paste, a mixture of earth and water, is for Bachelard the archetypal matter that marks the organic origins of life.

Su infancia y adolescencia trascurrieron en Venezuela. En 1999 regresó a París. Allí, estudia en la École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (Licenciatura en Escultura y Dibujo, 2006; Maestría en Bellas Artes, 2009). En 2008 asistió a la Facultad de Bellas Artes del País Vasco como parte del intercambio estudiantil Erasmus. Ha realizado residencias artísticas en la Fundación El Semillero (Maracaibo, 2011) y en la Fundación Albert Gleizes (Les Sablons, 2012). Ha participado en exposiciones colectivas en Caracas, Maracaibo, Valencia, Mérida (Venezuela), Buenos Aires, París y Londres. De sus varias muestras individuales destaca la llevada a cabo en el Ateneo de Caracas en 2013. Actualmente vive en Bagneux, Francia.
El ejercicio creativo de Daniela Quilici fluye desde una sensibilidad guiada sutilmente por la intuición. Su lenguaje se ha forjado en la escucha de las voces calladas de la naturaleza y en su atento seguimiento a las resonancias que estas producen en su interior. En su obra, la forma es inseparable de la materia, pues es desde la indagación sensible de lo que el material es y dice, que ésta emerge en consonancia con emociones y delicadas percepciones. Las cualidades de lo acuoso, estudiadas por Bachelard, están presente en este hacer espontáneo y vital. Por ello tiene la calidad de la ensoñación. El mar o la espuma son, en estas instancias, indefinibles, aunque las manchas de azul diluido, los impastos, y los trazos a creyón, quizás nos acerquen a ese instante irrepetible de poesía natural en el que el ritmo de una respiración se acompasa con el del lamido de una ola. Quilici también trabaja la arcilla en su necesidad de dar cuerpo a estas ensoñaciones que parten y vuelven a la naturaleza, creando nuevas plantas y animales marinos, conchas inéditas, dando imagen a las cualidades del fondo marino. La pasta, mezcla de tierra y agua, es para Bachelard la materia arquetípica que marca los orígenes orgánicos de la vida.
